The Star & Garter, Manchester -12.05.14

UTB #49: Larry And His Flask, Crazy Arm, The Roughneck Riot, Helen Chambers | The Star & Garter, Manchester | 12/05/14

After an incredible gig in December, Larry & His Flask return to Manchester to do it all over again. If you were there, you know how much fun it was and I’m sure you’re coming back. Crazy Arm will be joining them yet again, and Helen Chambers will be warming hearts too.

Doors – 7:00pm
Gig Tax – £7 ADV / £8 OTD

A chaotic blend of country, bluegrass and punk rock, Larry & His Flask are one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. You won’t be able to resist dancing when these guys get going.

Crazy Arm –

These Plymouth-based rootsy punks return in support of LAHF. The power of their lyrics is only matched by that of their playing and wether it’s stripped back, electric or a bit of both you know you’re gonna love it.

The Roughneck Riot –

Combining elements of The Pogues and The Levellers with those of The Clash and Flogging Molly, The Roughneck Riot are the epitome of folk punk.

Helen Chambers –

She played last time as a member of Jimmy Islip’s Ghosts, but now she’s performing solo and playing songs from her debut album (which she might even have with her). Heartwarming country songs with a Yorkshire twist sung by one of the best in the UK.
